
AddisAbaba:may 24 2013 (Oromiyaa) Pan African Business Conference organized in connection with the 50th Anniversary of the OAU/AU opens on Friday at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) in Addis Ababa.
Speaking at the opening of the Conference, African Union Commission Deputy Chairperson, Erastus Mwenca said Africa’s private sector has a pivotal role in the continent’s development. He said Africa is one of the most profitable continent for investment.
The Conference organized by Pan African Chamber of Commerce and Industry has a theme, “Securing Africa’s Renaissance –Role of Africa’s Private Sector over the next 50 years.”
The Conference aims at sharing insight on the critical role of the private sector in helping the continent reach its full economic and social potential.
The Conference is being attended by business leaders, entrepreneurs, and government officials from across the continent and beyond.
