1. INTRODUACTION
Obviously, although our country is rich in natural and human resources ,it is ranged as one of most backward country as a result of enabling to develop and protect its recourse . Our region , oromiya is also not out of the situation and so do West Shewa zone. To handle these and other problems, documented that manifest the socio economic aspect of the region in general and weste shewa zone in particular soulde be prepared for these users, it may be either for investor or for those who have interest for research purpose.
Like other published profile ,West shewa zone Finance and economic Development office prepared the 2001 E.C socio economic profile with the intention of presenting a comprehensive summery of analytical information on the Physical and socio economic-economic condition of west shewa Administration zone. In addition to its education of the condition of the zone ,the profile is intended to serve the studies and researches, investors and other activities being conducted in the zone.
Of many tasks performed by finance and economic Development office (FEDO)For west shewa Administrative Zone ,collected, organized and analyzed data in various forms is one , as administrative mandate given by the Regional Bureau of Finance and Economic Development of Oromiya (BFEDO), SO that it can be easily used for various purpose. Based on these our office has prepared the one year SOCIO ECONOMIC PROFILE FOR WEST SHEWA ADMEINISTRATIV ZONE. In these profile we have attempted to highlight basic and major analytical information on physical, social and economic aspects of the zone , though it is difficult to present complete and adequate data each aspect. Hence, we tried as much as possible to fill this data gapes. Even though we did it with such effort , and with decision, we can not mouth fully say that it is exhaustive . There are points fully or partially untouched due to various bottlenecks, of which data , time ,manpower and logistic limitation are the major one . accordingly , we assessed the physical setting and socioeconomic condition such as (energy supply, education, health, justice, tourism, investment , and financial aspect )of the zone as following.
